Enable or disable a product automatically
Use a date and time to plan when a product appears in or disappears from the shop.
A product does not have to go live at the moment you happen to be at your screen. You can set a date and time and let Nimbu flip the status for you.
What you can plan
A product has separate settings for switching it on at a planned moment and for taking it back out. Each moment gets its own date and time. You can set one or combine several, for example a promotional product that appears on Friday and disappears again on Sunday evening.
For switching off, you choose between taking a product out of sale and removing it from the shop altogether. Which one you need depends on what the visitor should still be able to see. Check your site afterwards to confirm the result is what you expected.
Schedule a product
- Open the product.
- Find the scheduling settings.
- Fill in the date and time for the moment you want to plan.
- Save with Product bijwerken (update product).
What to watch
Check your site's time zone before you plan to the minute. A launch that goes live an hour early gets noticed.
The product has to be ready at the planned moment. Nimbu does not check whether your price, photos, or translation are filled in. Only schedule a product you would happily publish right now.
If you change the status by hand afterwards, check the schedule too. Otherwise Nimbu simply undoes your change at the planned moment.
