Create a page

You create a page from Pages. Nimbu asks for three things in a small dialog: a title, an optional parent page, and a template. The page then opens in the editor.

Your administration may use Dutch labels. In that case, Pages is Pagina's and the button is Pagina toevoegen.

Decide these first

Title is required. Choose a name nobody will confuse with an existing page. Nimbu derives the web address from the title: About us becomes about-us. You can change that address afterwards under SEO, in URL & Handle.

Parent page decides where the page sits in the page tree. Leave it empty for a top-level page.

Template decides which fields and blocks you get in the editor. If you are not sure which template fits, ask the person who manages the page structure. Switching later can mean filling in content again.

Create the page

1. Open Pages in the left menu.
2. Choose Add page at the top right. The overview stays where it is and a dialog opens.
3. Fill in Title.
4. Choose a Parent page, or leave it empty.
5. Choose a Template.
6. Confirm with the button at the bottom right of the dialog. In the Dutch administration it reads Page toevoegen, which is the same action as the button on the overview.

The editor opens on the new page. There is no confirmation message.

What you see next

Two labels sit next to the title: hidden and draft (VERBORGEN and CONCEPT). The editor shows a notice that the page is not live yet and should be published when it is ready.

So a new page is not publicly visible anywhere. You can check content, settings, and blocks before anyone decides it is ready.

A page you no longer need

In the editor, choose More, then Move to trash. Nimbu asks you to confirm and tells you the page can be restored for up to 90 days. The cancel button in that dialog reads CANCEL, even in the Dutch administration.

The page leaves the page tree immediately. You find it again through Pages → More → Trash, where each row shows when the page was deleted and when it will be erased, exactly 90 days later.
