Edit and preview page content

To change text or blocks on an existing page without putting them online, save your work as a draft. The live page stays as it is.

Your administration may use Dutch labels. In that case, Save draft is Concept opslaan and Publish is Publiceren.

Check what is already there

Open the page in the right site and language. If a draft label (CONCEPT) already sits next to the title, someone else has work waiting. Ask them what should happen with it first, because your change lands in that same draft.

The editor separates content from settings such as the title and the web address. Change only what your task needs. A change to the web address under URL & Handle behaves differently from ordinary content: it can affect the live site straight away.

Save your change as a draft

1. Make your change in the editor.
2. Choose Save draft. ctrl+s does the same thing.
3. Wait for the green confirmation that your draft was saved.

The page stays open. A draft label appears next to the title, and the line below it shows who last changed the page and when.

The buttons change too. Instead of Save, you now see Save draft with an arrow next to it, plus a separate Publish button. Behind that arrow sits Discard draft (Concept verwijderen), which throws away every unpublished change.

Look at the draft

While a page has no draft, the More menu offers a preview of the page itself. As soon as you save a draft, that item becomes View draft (Concept bekijken).

View draft opens the page with a preview token in the web address, so you can show the draft to someone without a Nimbu account. Treat that link as confidential and send it only to the people reviewing the content.

Then read the changed text again in the selected language and check links, images, and blocks.

When you are ready

Your change sits in the draft, the live page is untouched, and you know who reviews it. Publishing is the next step once the page is approved.
