Find Search Engines in General

Find the Search Engines section and choose the right area without changing settings.

Audience: AdministratorRequired access: General settingsVerified on Language: English

Use this page when you need to know whether a question is about your site's description, robots.txt, humans.txt, or llms.txt. After these steps, you will know whether your question belongs under Site Description or Search Engines, without changing a setting.

Choose the right section

  • Choose Site Description for the site's name, description, or keywords.
  • Choose Search Engines when your question mentions Robots.txt File, humans.txt file, llms.txt override, Markdown for AI agents, or Serve llms.txt.

Find the right label

  1. Check that you selected the right site.
  2. Open Settings in the left menu.
  3. Choose General.
  4. Find Site Description or Search Engines, depending on your question.
  5. Read only the label that matches your question. Close the page when you have found it.

Content in Search Engines can affect publicly readable files. Do not paste example rules or turn on a switch to test something. Ask the site owner about the intended outcome and for an approved guide before anyone makes a change.

If you cannot see an area

If General is missing, check the selected site first. Then ask an administrator for access to Settings.

If one field is missing, do not use another field instead. Options can differ by site.

You now know which section and visible label match your question.
